Dr. Mona Singh, President

Dr. Mona Singh has 9 years of experience providing technical support for EPA and OPPTS contracts, including:

• Support for EFED Technical Review Panel Meetings, including review of risk assessments, meeting facilitation, and post-meeting support;

 

• Critical evaluation of published and unpublished data submitted under the National Pesticide Registration Program (Subdivision N of FIFRA) for EFED;

 

• Evaluation of the chemical reactions (synthesis), physical and chemical properties, production process and the use of the new chemicals contained in the Premanufacture Notice (PMN) submissions under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA);

 

• Preparation of Internal Review Exposure Reports for EPA by assembling a database for the Exposure Assessment Branch (EAB) of EPA to aid in the assignment of ratings for the new chemicals going through the PMN process

 

• Compilation of chemical, environmental fate and toxicological profiles of hazardous and "green" chemicals for the Design for Environment, a branch of OPPT.

 

• Evaluation of test data for environmental fate, physical and chemical properties of high production volume (HPV) chemicals for the OPPT/EPA's HPV Challenge Program.

 

• Update of toxicological profiles of hazardous substances found at the National Priority List (NPL) sites for the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, Center for Disease Control & Prevention.

 

Earlier, Dr. Singh worked as a Senior Research Chemist at the National Institute of Digestive, Diabetes and Kidney Diseases, National Institute of Health (NIH). She has a Ph.D. from State University of New York at Binghamton, an M.S. (Chemistry) from Cornell University and an M.Sc. (Chemistry) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
